The golf swing happens in only a few seconds. With a short time frame and the high speeds achieved in a power golf swing, its imperative to take care of the set-up, one of the few things you can really control in golf.
Many golfers fall prey to instincts in a simple way. The top of the ball is the part of the ball closest to the eye, and it makes sense to focus on that. With that in mind, the swing is driven with hand eye coordination to the point of focus, resulting in topped shots and other mis hits.
Try this on the range on course:
1. What I’d like to see you do is break the ball into 4 quadrants.
2. Take your golf ball and align its lines or writings to the inner back quadrant as pictured.
3. Focus your attention on the lines or writing, and make a great golf swing.
This attention to the ball in the set-up will give you an easy way to be confident and focused through your golf swing.
