Greenville, SC. – June 14, 2010 – Precision Golf School Student, Kelsey Badmaev, shot a 2nd 9 hole score of 2 under par 34 en route to a 76, good enough for a T-8 finish in the 2010 US Girls Junior Championship qualifier. That score sent her into a sudden death playoff for the final spot on the Furman University Golf Course. On the 3rd extra hole, Kelsey laced a 6 iron on the par 3 14th hole 165 yards to 10 feet. She then made the birdie putt, cementing her spot in the Championship, to be held at the Country Club of NC on July 19-24. “Kelsey played really well to get into the qualifier. This will give her confidence to play well in the next event, ” says Fred English, Kelsey’s coach and Precision Golf School Senior Instructor.
A native of Blythewood, SC, Kelsey is currently ranked 9 on the 2010 order of merit standings on the Peggy Kirk Bell Tour.
