Chipping
by Senior Instructor, Davis Troxler
Are you having problems around the green? Does the word “chipping” scare you? If so, I have a very easy way to chip that will work for you.
As you address the ball around the green, place the ball in the middle of your stance. Have your hands slightly forward ahead of the ball. You should have about 70% of your weight on your front foot. Have the toe of your club on the ground. Then just swing back and through, like a long putt.
In this video, Austin Trent will demonstrate. With some practice, the word chipping should not scare you anymore.
