WINSTON-SALEM, NC- October 17, 2011 – Winston Lake Golf Course- October 17, 2011- On a marvelous Carolina afternoon the Central Peidmont Conference had their Conference Championship at the historic Winston Lake GC, locally known as “The Lake”, hosted by the RJ Reynolds Demons.
The medalist of the day was the pleasant and talented Victoria Allred recently returning from an injury with an astounding round of one under par 36. Allred enjoyed the two rounds that she played this season and has some high expectations for this and next year’s golf season. In a close second place was the high spirited and aggressive Hannah Craver with another great round of 2 over par 39. Craver enjoyed her round and had many really great up and downs.
The CPC Player of the Year went to Hannah Craver with a 37 average. Craver said she has worked very hard on her golf game to get to the level she is at now but she still knows she has room for improvement. In second place of the CPC is Sade’cia Riggs with an average of 42. Riggs hopes to play well at the 4A Regional and even better in the State Championship.
In third place of this conference championship is the long hitting and energetic Chloe Sizemore with an average of 43. Sizemore said she and her team has worked really hard this season with practicing everyday and having a good mindset going into each matched they played. Sizemore feels all of their hard work has finally paid off this season with a team record of 39-0. In fourth place was the rising star Aubrey Patti, the Freshman from RJ Reynolds scored an average of 44. Patti hopes to play really well at the Regional and be able to make it to the 4A State Championship. In fifth place is the Mother-hen of West Forsyth Katie Green who made it to the State Championship as a Sophomore last year.
The 4A Regional will be held at Pine Island Country Club on October 25, 2011 where everyone will come out to compete at their very best to make it the 4A State Championship
