Todd, the Head Instructor at Bryan Park for Precision Golf School, claimed the North River Senior Open at North River Club in Beaufort, NC by 3 shots, firing a 2 over par 146. Congratulations Todd!

(BEAUFORT, NC) PGA Professional Todd Smith of Matthews, NC, captured the 2009 Carolinas PGA (CPGA) North River Senior Open. Amateur Keith Waters of Raleigh, NC finished three stokes back to finish second.
Unseasonably low temperatures and winds gusting up to 20-30 mph made for some difficult playing conditions at the relatively new North River Club in Beaufort, NC. However, Smith prevailed as he posted rounds of 74+72=146 to finish two over par for the championship. Smith, a teaching professional at Precision Golf School, has not had a CPGA win since he captured the Senior Championship title in 2007 but has consistently played near the top.
