Northern Guilford’s Men’s Golf team is four shots off the lead with a team score of 308 after the first day of play in the 25th annual North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 3-A men’s golf championships. The championship is being held at the Foxfire Golf and Country Club, a par-72, 6600-yard layout for the NCHSAA event. The best four of six individual scores count toward the team total.
PGS student, Jeffrey Jackman, posted a 76 to lead his team to the second place standing. Jay Ealley, Martin Kappauf, and Gerard Castagnet continue to play pivotal roles in the team’s success this season.
