Mike Goodes, student of Robert Linville at Precision Golf School, has earned one of the eight qualifying spots at the U.S. Open Championship local qualifying hosted by Teryburn Country Club in Durham, NC on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Native of Reidsville, NC, Goodes finished in first place at the qualifying event after lighting up the course with a 9 under par, 63.
The eight qualifiers will advance to one of 13 sectional qualifiers, 11 of which are held in the United States, one in Japan, and one in England. Sectional qualifiers advance to the 110th United States Championship at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, CA on June 17-20, 2010.
