Congratulations to our Precision family that took home the U.S.T.A State Mixed 10.0 Doubles Championship!

The team played three matches in round robin play before advancing to the semi-final round. The Precision team took out their opponents from Wilmington in the semi-final dual match. In the final match against Cary, the Precision squad defeated the defending champions 2 – 1 to advance to the sectional tournament. Sectionals will be played in Macon, Georgia October 12 – 14.

The final match was played by Teaching Professional, Clayton Hamilton and Lily Tomaic, Director Instructor Kelly Parker and General Manager Mike Parker. Caroline Downs and Chris Fletcher also teamed up and came away with a victory in the their final match.

Clayton, a graduate of Guilford College, twice earned Second Team All-ODAC recognition for the Quakers and currently serves as the Quakers Assistant Coach.

Mike and Kelly Parker also teamed up in the final match and went undefeated for the weekend. Kelly played two years at Duke at the #1 position before turning professional. She went on to be ranked as high as #109 in the world playing against such players as Serena Williams, Kim Clisters and Justine Henin. Mike Parker, Precision’s general manager, played four years of baseball at University of Mary Washington. After working for Precision for the past 10 years, he has fined tuned his tennis game to compete at the highest league levels.
