| Training aids can be an asset to help speed up the learning process. There are literally thousands of training aids for golf; some are helpful and some don’t seem to accomplish much. We have experimented, tried, used, and worked with most of the training aids on the market. We will give you our assessment recommendation based on the experiences we have had with each training aid. | The training aid being reviewed is the Swingyde. This is a very simple aid that connects to your grip and gives you instant club face awareness. The “gyde” has a slot so that your left forearm (right-handed golfer) fits into the slot at the top of the backswing. If the gyde is between the arms at the top of the backswing, then the clubface is open which leads to a slice and /or releasing too early on the downswing. If the gyde is outside of the left arm, then the clubface is closed which can cause a low hook or a block to the right. The Swingyde helps the golfer understand and feel the correct club face relationship to the left arm. This product is very helpful if you are struggling to feel the proper position of the club face during the swing.We will rate each product on a scale 1 to 5. Robert is the man! I think the swingyde should get a 5 on the rating scale. It is simple, can’t be fooled, and is very benefifcal.
